Job Description

The University Research Veterinarian prescribes medications, establishes and administers treatment plans, and performs surgeries on animals. Provides medical services in support of the health of animals. Being an University Research Veterinarian requires at least 5 years of experience in the field. Evaluates and approves animal care and laboratory protocols to ensure compliance with veterinary standards and statutory requirements. In addition, University Research Veterinarian requires a Ph.D. of Veterinary Medicine. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
