Labor Relations Specialist I participates in labor contract negotiations. May prepare contract agreements. Being a Labor Relations Specialist I must be familiar with federal, state and local regulations pertaining to labor issues. Represents the organization in legal hearings on labor issues and with labor governing bodies. Additionally, Labor Relations Specialist I makes recommendations for changes to existing policies to ensure compliance with new or proposed regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. To be a Labor Relations Specialist I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.
