What does an Cloud/Virtualization Solutions Consultant, Subject Matter Expert do at companies like 10PEARLS?
10Pearls is looking for a Cloud Solutions expert to serve as a key contributor on this large, complex task order. As a critical member of our diverse Infrastructure team, the successful candidate will design, deploy, and perform O&M of all virtual environments, leveraging Cloud Solutions to standup and configure baseline environments. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operates and maintains AWS infrastructure
- Performs and/or supports troubleshooting, mitigation, root case analysis, and remediation of complex problems
- Serves as an escalation path for the enterprise O&M staff for troubleshooting or inquiries
- Researches new technologies
- Works occasional night/weekend performing O&M activities with minimum impact to production
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship
- DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
- Masters degree and 8+ years of related experience
- Strong experience with cloud and virtualization concepts (e.g., vCloud Director, Amazon, OpenStack)
- Knowledge of architecting and engineering virtual environments and solutions, to include VMware
- Hands-on experience implementing and configuring cloud solutions
- Strong VMware experience and advanced administration skills
Desired Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
- 10+ yrs of directly relevant experience
- Experience managing enterprise-scale solutions leveraging AWS Services, e.g., EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk, Lambda
- Experience implementing and managing network and application performance monitoring tools, e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Solarwinds
- Strong experience with cloud orchestration tools (vRealize, vCenter Orchestrator, etc.)
- Experience managing infrastructure solutions deployed in AWS GovCloud
- Experience integrating AWS with database administrator and DevOps teams
- Currency in automated code scanning, automated testing, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous assessment concepts and technologies
- Experience implementing secure DevOps methodologies
- Experience scripting in python, bash, or comparable language
- Experience scripting against AWS CLI
- Experience in Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
- Experience in security hardening and STIGs for virtualization HW
- Training/certifications - VCP (VMware Certified Professional, AWS Certification)
