Accounting Analyst

As an Accounting Analyst, a part of Global Business Services (GBS) Finance Operations, you will be working under our North American Finance Service Center and responsible for running weekly/monthly payment runs, which consists of paying vendors via check, ACH or Wire as assigned as well as any emergency payments for RRPS or RR businesses. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ERP uploads, vendor account reconciliations, reconciles accounts payable general ledger and serves as a backup for the Invoice Processing team if needed.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for running the various weekly/monthly/emergency payment runs and for contacting the vendor after a payment is rejected to obtain proper documentation to correct any issues.
• Complete Vendor Account Reconciliations (Liberty Works): follows up on account statements and other discrepancies regarding payment of accounts, and serves as liaison between departments and vendors in the resolution of administrative problems and inquiries.
• Reconcile accounts payable general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, resolves reconciling items in a timely manner and ensures reports to the business on outstanding invoices/receipts are completed.
• Continuously works to improve response time to vendors and to streamline processes to meet best practice and improvement targets comply with local operating procedures and reduce errors in the processing of invoices from vendors and other Rolls-Royce entities.
• Complete ERP uploads to supplier accounts as assigned, reconcile ERP2 load with original submission and ensure all queries from NAFSC AP Upload mailbox are answered within the SLA target.
• Member of the Intercompany Team as required (normally quarterly) and will assist with special projects, adhoc tasks, audit requests and back up to all processes in the AP department as required.

Basic Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 2 years of accounts payable experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, OR
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, OR
• JD/PhD
• 4 years of Accounts Payable experience in lieu of a degree
• In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with SAP
• Experience with Accounts Payable
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
