As the Applications Program Manager for Rolls-Royce, you’ll work to address the challenges of managing the interface between Propulsion Engineering and Program/Campaign delivery due to business growth through major current and future programs, as Rolls-Royce Defense Naval is placing key emphasis on the structure and application of the management of all its program and campaign activity.  You’ll play a critical role to the success of the business, influencing both technical and business strategy supporting the future direction of the Naval business.

Key Accountabilities
 

  • Developing technical specifications to design or re-design Mil Spec required Naval Propulsor products and services
  • Ensuring a full technical appreciation and awareness Naval Propulsor products exists, across the business. To include training and technical systems development are in place to support continuing business operations
  • Developing a strong knowledge of the Naval industry trends in the engineering field associated to the products and product development that are specific to the Defense Naval product portfolio
  • Supporting the development of new business opportunities through solutions to technical customer requirements and translating those requirements into future product offerings
  • Supporting the modification, design and development of Naval propulsor products interfacing across various functional groups to ensure customer, technical and product requirements are delivered

Basic:

  • Associates degree with 7 years of experience in Naval Marine industry OR;
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Naval Marine industry OR;
  • Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Naval Marine industry OR;
  • A JD/PhD with 0 years of experience in Naval Marine industry OR;
  • In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in Naval Marine industry
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship

Preferred:

  • A degree in Engineering
  • Prior experience with Rolls-Royce Naval Marine products
  • Experience dealing with the US Navy
