The Manager of Clinical Training and Quality is a licensed clinician who is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of training programs that support clinical quality. The specific focus this role is to implement enhancements to the electronic medical record system and train the clinical team to address quality gaps. This involves being in the markets that we serve and working alongside the clinical team, providing input on time management and clinical workflow.

 

The Manager of Clinical Training and Quality assists with clinical informatics efforts to plan, design and test system enhancements; leads end-user training efforts, provides implementation support, and ensures adoption of systems/processes that results in improved clinical outcomes, end user efficiency and financial outcomes.

 

The Manager is a subject matter expert specific to the workflow of the company’s systems, understands decisions that will affect end-user training development. Influences and coordinates with organization leaders – Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer, VP of Technology. This person works directly with Clinical Leads to implement solutions and ensure performance measures are monitored and met. The Manager of Clinical Training and Quality is someone who has knowledge and experience applying adult learning principals, demonstrated success with project management, and systems implementation experience.

 

Responsibilities

 

Training:

  • Responsible for providing education to the clinical team members, ensuring consistency across the organization, and leveraging a structured change management process for system changes.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for on-going training of existing colleagues and deployment of changes.
  • Administers and documents basic skills assessments and competency exams to end-users, tracking completion.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to the clinical team to facilitate data driven changes to achieve meaningful outcomes.
  • Create test scenarios and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Provides in-person support for system/process optimization and for new functionality.

 

Process Improvement:

  • Engage multidisciplinary teams in process improvement to ensure, patient centric access, system efficiencies, regulatory and quality compliance
  • Responsible for working with clinical managers, IT team, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer in determining the educational and learning needs.
  • Independently coordinate and assures that clinical workflows are designed and built into the EMR system
  • Effectively work with users to understand their questions/applications issues
  • Maintain strong communication channels with internal and external parties to ensure collaborative relationships.

 

Misc.:

  • Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance during work hours.
  • 75% travel (includes overnight).
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s level degree in related healthcare field
  • 2+ years of clinical experience, including a clinical license
  • 2+ years training/education/content development experience
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience documenting and proposing system enhancements to support clinical outcomes and efficiency
  • Comprehension of the principles and practices of behavioral health treatment, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, cognitive-behavioral and brief intervention counseling strategies and their application to population-based care for preventive and pervasive mental health issues
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve in a proactive manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office Programs
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

 

Preferred:

  • Unrestricted Clinical Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Experience using Salesforce and Therapy Notes
