JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general direction of ETS Manager and/or Branch Manager, assesses the skills of persons served (during community work experiences and/or in facility-based activities), assists them in retaining employment and contacts employers to develop new opportunities. This position will require working non-traditional hours (evenings and/or weekends
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree or equivalent is required. Some college courses in human services is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of four years of successful work experience is required, preferably in a human service setting. An Associate’s degree in a relevant area of study may be substituted for experience requirements.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with persons served, team members, referral sources and employers. Ability to effectively teach job tasks and utilize judgment in making performance observations and employment recommendations. Ability to adjust to frequently changing work assignments and schedule. A current driver’s license, insured driver status and access to a personal vehicle is required.
Ability to educate Employers on appropriate accommodations to meet the needs of the clients as needed. Ability to develop a task analysis at work sites that align with the job position and coaching support for the client served. Must be proficient in the use of computer operation and Microsoft Office software. Ability to write a professional case note and communicate in electronic format.
