JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the preschool manager, supports day to day operations of all toddler classrooms including ratio checks, scheduling breaks, and management attendance. Helps maintain classroom ratios routines, daily schedules and adherence to program, regulatory and best practice standards. Creates monthly parent newsletter for the toddler classrooms. Helps screen and schedule interviews for open teacher positions. Helps support on-boarding of new staff. Collaborates with program manager for staff reviews. Completes 6 classroom observations per week and shares information from these observations with the education coordinator and the program manager.
EDUCATION: :
Master’s in special education and/or early childhood education preferred. Bachelor’s in special education or early childhood education required. CDA considered with at least 5 years of experience in a NAEYC accredited program.
EXPERIENCE:
One year experience in working with young children with disabilities as a Lead Teacher required. Proficiency in working with early intervention, early childhood and school age populations. Experience working in a Head Start environment preferred
