Extra Care is the largest provider of care at home in Northern Ireland. We provide a range of services that respond to the needs of older people, dependent adults and children who are cared for at home in all areas of Northern Ireland. We also have services that support families and carers. Our services are also available in the North Eastern area of the Republic of Ireland. At Extra Care, we focus our efforts on local recruitment; we provide comprehensive training and regular supervision through our local community teams. We look after our staff, and they know their contribution is valued. In April 2012 Extra Care achieved Investors In People accreditation, in recognition of our commitment to the development and support of staff in our organisation. We care for some of the most vulnerable people in our society and we believe part of our role is to try and make their voices are heard, to help give people that are being cared for at home a greater profile when decisions over resources are being made. It can take up to 30 people theatre style or 15 people boardroom style. There is a built-in overhead projector and laptop available for use, and free WiFi throughout the building.
