160over90 is seeking an Account Manager – PR & Communications to join our team in New York. You will support the PR and Communications efforts for a leading hospitality group that invests in exciting partnerships within sports, culture, and entertainment.

You are a PR professional with an agency background that has previously worked with hospitality, travel, and/or food and beverage client(s). You love culture, live events, understand sponsorships / partnerships and have worked on experiential programs. You are looking to professionally grow, are ready to learn, and are seeking to mentor and coach a team. You have solid fundamental communications chops – you write, you pitch, you think strategically, and you know consumer and trade media outlets in the lifestyle, business, and travel spaces. 

Responsibilities 

• Manage the PR and Communication needs for a hospitality client's brand portfolio Support and execute PR strategies to amplify the client’s new hotel openings, events, and partnerships, including NFL and Fine Art programs 
•  Draft press releases, media alerts, FAQs, messaging docs, pitches, talking points, agendas, presentations, overall brand campaigns and activations
• Manage 2 direct reports
• Create pitch decks by synthesizing ideas, curating impactful imagery and crafting succinct copy
• Create and maintain targeted media lists
• Develop strong relationships with reporters/editors and participate in pitches
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients Coordinate and staff media-facing marquee events such as hotel openings and key partnership activations

Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.
• At least 5 years of PR/media relations experience
• Communicate effectively and professionally, exhibit strong organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to show time management skills and handle a high-volume work load
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, and to problem-solve independently and in groups
• Some travel required
