The Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Obtains primary source verification of credentials in accordance with AbleTo policies and procedures.
  • Tracks responses and follows-up on items not received within established cycle periods.
  • Reviews completed files with management in accordance with established schedules.
  • Maintains credential and recredentialed records in accordance with AbleTo policies and procedures
  • Produces management reports and rosters regarding operations performance and/or provider credentialing status for internal management and external clients.
  • Produces and disseminates credentialing activity reports and provider rosters for external clients as required by contract. 
  • Adheres to operating policies and procedures including delivery of completed work and use of resources.
  • Initiates correspondence to providers, users, health plans and others as necessary to obtain requisite credentialing and/or recredentialing information.
  • Performs monitoring activities including, but not limited to, monthly sanctions monitoring, license expirations, and malpractice insurance expirations.
  • Informs management regarding the status of departmental operations and provider credentialing issues of concern.
  • Presentation of provider credentialing files to Credentialing Sub-Committee during initial and re-credentialing
  • Record minutes for all Credentialing Sub-Committee meetings held.
  • Maintain documentation of provider credentialing information within the telehealth platform 
  • Responds to inquiries from participating providers and clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding their credentialing roster process.
  • Document/improve processes that support the responsibilities of this role.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives related to credentialing/credentialing.
  • Assist in review and general upkeep of Clinical documents and resources.
  • Support Clinical Compliance in producing reports requested through audits.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Experience within healthcare/social work preferred

 

Skills:

  • Adept at learning and using computer systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Discipline and organization to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Personal ownership of assignments and responsibilities 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan, execute, check results and improve on a continuing basis
