Background

Reporting through to the Head of Performance - Americas, you will be part of a dynamic team within an industry leading Asset Management company that places significant value on the role of Performance and Attribution in supporting its business.

Job Description

This is an attractive opportunity to support the region in development and management of this service, and as part of the Performance team, the role will entail:

  • Running, validating and presenting Fixed Income Attribution to investment managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Contributing the Performance content of marketing, distribution, and client reporting material.
  • Building and supporting processes to validate and audit Performance Measurement produced by third-party service providers across Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, and Alternative asset classes.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and service providers in the development and improvement of Performance and Attribution reports.
  • Take a lead role in representing the Americas on all Performance-related matters to the regional Head of Performance.
  • Supporting and resolving complex ad-hoc queries, including those for regional Performance departments, with autonomy.
  • Perform daily tasks for the purpose of performance evaluation and reporting.
  • Undertake technical research and/or process improvements, as determined by the position.

Education

  • BA or BS required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar quantitative discipline.
  • Completion or significant progress towards CFA or CIPM is favorable.

Skills and Experience

The candidate will be expected to have/be able to:

  • A working knowledge of Fixed Income Attribution, models, concepts, and fixed-income instruments and markets in general.
  • A good understanding of Equity attribution and ex-post risk numbers and ability to calculate both from first principles.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to resolve issues collaboratively or independently when necessary.
  • Strong understanding of investment processes, securities, analytics and market data services.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing and translating complex Performance concepts into easily understandable terms.
  • Ability to recognize process improvements, and design and execute upon those.
  • Impressive spreadsheet, SQL, Python, and other technical skills.
  • System expertise using Barclays POINT, Bloomberg PORT, Aladdin Risk, Factset, or other relevant attribution systems
