Position Summary:
Home Based Services Coordinator provides expertise, oversight, training, leadership, and ongoing support to the ACCEPT Education Collaborative Home Based Staff, and is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of home based policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with the ACCEPT’s standards.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
BCBA Certification in current standing
At least 2 years relevant experience
Experience working in Special Education
Working knowledge of special education regulations and process

Qualifications Desired:
Master’s Degree in Education
MA DESE licensure in special education or related field


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and annually updates service plans, policies, procedures, and implements systems to ensure consistent, high quality home based services in accordance with the ACCEPT Education Collaborative Standards.
    -Provides ongoing training, consultation, and professional development in the area of applied behavior analysis
    -Works with other ACCEPT Administrators to ensure the consistent implementation of high quality, comprehensive home-based services.
    -Coordinates and implements procedures for screening incoming referrals
    -Provides support to Home Based Staff at home visits on a regular basis
    -Creates and reviews contracts for home-based services
    -Completes in-take process and provides written recommendations as needed
    -Consults with districts regarding the needs and services of students and families
    -Serves as the liaison between ACCEPT, districts and students’ homes to ensure consistency and appropriate carry-over of programs
    -Attends Team Meetings to report on Home-Based services, student progress and assessments
    -Recruits and provides training and orientation to new Home-Based staff
    -Supervises home-based staff including scheduling and assigning staff to cases
     -Provides consultation and support to ACCEPT programs
     -In collaboration with other ACCEPT Administrators supports the development of effective strategies to ensure on-going improvement in direct instruction 
    -Documents and reviews student progress reports
    -Conducts staff trainings and workshops for professional development
    -Conducts functional behavioral assessments and develop behavior support plan
     -Reviews and update Home-Based manuals
     -Reviews and approve Home-Based staff timesheets
 -Consults with the Executive Director regarding home/school-based issues and provide annual reports as needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
·        Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive, walk, sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, bend, walk up and down stairs, talk, hear, see, stand for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50Lbs, and may be required to perform physical restraint of a student at times of behavioral escalation; routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, copy machines, fax, phones, shredders and filing cabinets.
·        Work Environment: This work is performed in a school environment, students’ residences, and community settings.
