Aclara is hiring a Full Time Field Technician to assist the team with meter exchange scheduling and notification. The person in this position will be responsible for performing property surveys, conducting building postings and obtaining installation appointments for multi-dwelling units (MDU) in NYC in support of large-scale utility infrastructure upgrade projects.

Essential Functions:

• Visit properties, converse with property managers and conduct physical site reviews/surveys based on the project deployment schedule to gather property details such as building access issues, building supervisor contact information, and other special considerations to facilitate the meter installations.
• Deliver and post paper notices at the properties as dictated by the deployment schedule to allow one-week lead time prior to the installation date. These postings are to cover all property visual areas, including but not limited to all entries, lobby and elevator banks.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Required:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED required.
• Demonstrated verbal communication skills and customer service ability, both in-person and via phone.
• Knowledge of Manhattan and surrounding boroughs.
• General use of computers/tablets for data entry, tracking and reporting.

Preferred:

• Experience working with utility programs.
• Experience with field-based work in local area.

Physical Demand:

• Frequent standing, sitting, typing, speaking, walking, reaching, crouching, bending, and kneeling.
• 90% field-based work; required travel to and from field locations in NYC
