Aclara is looking for a Full-Time Lead Installer to help install electric smart meters. We are looking for utility-experienced, highly motivated individuals willing to perform at and hold others to high standards of safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

 Purpose:

The Meter Installer Lead is responsible for leading the Installer team to ensure they each safely and efficiently replace electric, water, or gas meters on residential or commercial property.

 Essential Functions:

• Train/re-train installers in proper safety and installation processes.
• Evaluate installer performance and ensure required productivity is achieved.
• Achieve standards of safety, productivity and quality of work.
• Mentor installers to improve employee turnover and morale.
• Check existing meter, install replacement meter, and perform final meter test.
• Accurately collect customer data and document the installations in writing and with handheld device.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work closely with supervisors and installers to create a professional environment.

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1-year meter installation or utility experience.
• Dependable, detail oriented, good verbal skills and a neat/clean appearance.
• Ability to use assigned tools properly and work within safety guidelines.
• Must be comfortable interacting with customers while upholding Aclara - SGS customer standards.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean 3 year Moving Vehicle Record.

Preferred:

• Previous Meter Reading Experience.

 Physical Demand:

• Frequent walking, standing, grasping, sitting, and stooping up to 10 hours per day in all types of weather conditions.
• 25% – 50% travel
