The Product Technical Data Coordinator will manage and provide customer data files, marriage files and meter programs for the ANSI meter business. These activities will encompass both Production and RMA meter activities.

When Production & Product Service is fully transitioned to Contractor Manufacturers (CM) and the ANSI Center of Excellence (COE) is established, the primary data responsibilities of the position are expected to diminish to approximately 20% of the workload. At this time, the Product Technical Data Coordinator will be expected to pick up primary responsibility for building meter samples. Additionally, this position will be expected to assist with a number of other process applications such as Label Programs and RKS.

Essential Functions:

• Manage and produce data files, marriage files, divorce files and meter programs
• Establish new customer program accounts in our database
• Interface with customers, distributors, AMR vendors, Sales, Req Engineering, and RKS technician to clarify specifications for data files and programs.
• Request, record and track all AMI scripts and lead times with Charlotte Sales Team, MSE’s and Account Managers.
• Provide program requirements and module worksheets to responsible parties on the AMI team
• Load AMI database script files
• Assist project team in automating data files and transitioning responsibility to CM’s
• Assist project team in automating meter program logistics, set up and generation.
• Participate in other cross functional continuous improvement activities

ANSI COE Additional Responsibilities:

• Build & repair meter samples for the Validation Lab as required
• Backup for critical support processes such as RKS & Label Programs
• Support other critical COE processes as required
• Assist with the processing of Tier 4 RMA’s – could involve running tests, reconfiguring, shipping

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical industry
• Demonstrated working experience with Windows PC’s and associated applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Proven ability to decipher technical specifications and related documents
• Able to read and understand material/production related documents such BOM’s, Attribute Sheets, OMS’s, Safety Guidelines.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards (JDE)
• Proficiency using Fusion
• Experience building I210 and KV2c meters
• Experience in diagnosing & repairing assembled meters
• Excellent attention to details
• Ability to multi-task
• Adherence to Aclara and OSHA safety guidelines
• Positive team attitude

Preferred:

• Associates or higher degree
• Prior knowledge of AMI types and related marriage & divorce file procedures
• Proficiency in using MS Access
• Familiarity in using databases and scripting

Physical Demand:

• Frequent periods of standing, walking and use of PC
• Must be willing to work OT on short notice and weekends when required
