Supervises a mechanical maintenance crew involved in the maintenance and installation of mechanical equipment and systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for Facilities Mechanic Supervisor

Implements and sets priorities for the preventive maintenance program which includes greasing and lubricating, replacing filters in air and hydraulic systems, changing belts or drive equipment, checking product handling equipment for wear or damage, inspecting crane cables and hooks and checking hydraulic and pneumatic systems for spills or leaks. Selects, trains, evaluates, disciplines, motivates and ensures safety of the mechanical maintenance team. Monitors employee compliance with safety procedures. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
