Salary.com To Present a Virtual Panel on November 9, 2021: A Diverse Corporate Board: Why it Matters and How to Achieve It

October 20, 2021

WALTHAM, MA (October 20, 2021) – Salary.com, the compensation solution bringing more of the trusted data and intuitive software organizations need to get pay right, is presenting a virtual panel discussion “A Diverse Corporate Board: Why it Matters and How to Achieve It” on Tuesday, November 9th from 2:30pm-3:30pm ET.

Lenna Turner, Salary.com’s Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Senior Compensation Consultant, CCP, will moderate this panel of corporate leaders and seasoned board professionals.

  • Donna Sims Wilson, International Corporate Board Director, Chief Operating Officer of Kah Capital Management
  • Lee Jourdan, Corporate Board Director, former Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Chevron Corporation
  • Rebecca Roberts, Corporate Board Director, retired President of Chevron Pipeline Company

This issue is a priority for many organizations, though Salary.com’s 2021 DE&I Intentions and Actions Survey found that while participants intend to diversify their boards, many do not know how to go about it.

The panelists will review how a diverse board can influence a company’s productivity and innovation and enhance its employer brand. They will also discuss how to achieve a more diverse board composition, from defining what inclusiveness should look like, to creating a strong candidate pipeline.

“From the SEC and investor community to society-at-large, companies are facing increasing pressure to diversify their boards,” said Turner. “While doing so can present challenges, the correlation between diverse leadership and a company’s financial performance and enhanced corporate culture, make the effort more than worth it.”
